It is normal to arrive at the airport TWO hours before your flight and in the case of flights to Australia as much as THREE AND A HALF hours. Please check with your airline and your flight documentation.
The actual travelling time needed depends upon road conditions and traffic. These will vary according to the time of day and we will be happy to advise you based upon your itinery.
As a general guide:
- Birmingham from 1 hr 15 min to 1 hr 45 min
- East Midlands from 1 hr 30 min to 2 hr
- Gatwick* from 2 hr 30 min to 3 hr 30min
- Heathrow* from 1 hr 45 min to 3 hr 30 min
- Liverpool from 2 hr 50 min to 3 hr 45 min
- Luton* from 1hr 15 min to 1hr 45 min
- Manchester from 2 hr 50 min to 3 hr 45 min
- Stansted from 1hr 30 min to 2hr 15 min
* Flights to these may be affected by the roadworks on the M1 near Luton until 2009.
